Service Origin
A service origin line tells a service screen where its Copy From button looks: which lookup lists the source documents and which lists their lines. The delivered lines are what make Copy From work.
What it is for
When a user presses a Copy From entry on Billing Proposal, the screen looks up the line whose Process Code is the source screen. Without that line the copy is refused with "You don't have rights".
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Process Code | The source screen copied from | Pick a screen code. Cannot be changed once saved. Required. Cannot be changed once saved |
| Help Object | Lookup listing the source documents | Pick a lookup |
| Helpobject Lines | Lookup listing the source lines | Pick a lookup |
| Required Multiple | Several source documents may be picked at once | Tick to allow it |
| Predefine | Delivered line | Recorded only |
| Block | Stops the record from being picked on new documents | Leave clear while it is in use |
How to configure it
Leave the delivered lines as they are. Required Multiple lets the user pick several source documents at once. Predefine is stored only. The Basic Data tab shows a user-group grid that has no column set-up in this release, so it shows nothing.
Scenarios
- Billing proposals copy from service orders. The line with Process Code SMSO must exist and name its header and line lookups.
What it is connected to
- Billing Proposal - Copy From reads these lines.
If something looks wrong
- Copy From says "You don't have rights". There is no origin line for that source screen.
