What it is for

Readings are created by Service Order: each line of its Reading tab becomes one reading here, noted "Auto Created From Service Order […]", and is updated or deleted with the order. A reading created by an order cannot be changed here.

On save a reading is checked against the last reading of the same object and reading ID: on a counting-up meter the value may not drop ("Line ID: … - Reading value cannot be less than last Reading value …"), on a counting-down meter it may not rise.

In this release the screen opens with the layout of the Resolution screen (Resolution, Name, Block), which does not belong to it. Readings cannot be entered or viewed here; see them on the service order and in the As On Service list.

Every field in plain words

How to configure it

Nothing to configure here.

Scenarios

  • A workshop wants each job card to record the odometer. Enter it on the Reading tab of the service order.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • The screen shows Resolution fields. Broken as shipped; use the service order.
  • A service order save is refused with "Line ID: … - Reading value cannot be less than last Reading value …". The new odometer reading is lower than an earlier one for the same object.
