Property Type
A property type says what a unit is: apartment, villa, shop, office, plot. Every unit must have one, and a price can be written for a whole type.
What it is for
Property Type is the one classification a Real Estate Unit cannot be saved without. A Pricing Profile line based on a property type prices every unit of that type in the property at once.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Property Type | The code | A short code, for example APT. Required; must be unique |
| Name | What it is called | Apartment. Required |
| Detail | A free description | Two bedrooms with a balcony |
How to configure it
Nothing beyond the list. The layout also places a Property Category field, but it is not set up for this screen and is never shown: a type is not tied to one category here.
Scenarios
- A developer prices all two-bedroom apartments the same. Make a type 2-Bed Apartment and write one pricing line for it.
What it is connected to
- Real Estate Unit requires a property type.
- Pricing Profile can price by type.
If something looks wrong
- "Same property Type already exists". Another type already uses this code. Pick another code.
