Document Template
A document template holds the wording of a letter: a header and a footer in rich text, filed under a document type.
What it is for
The template keeps the text. The layout also places a Term Condition field on the Terms & Conditions tab, but it is not set up for this screen and never shows.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Document Template | The code | Required; unique |
| Name | What it is called | |
| Document Type | The kind of letter | Pick one |
| Block | Marks the record as blocked | Tick to mark it blocked |
| Header | Text printed above the body | Rich text |
| Footer | Text printed below the body | Rich text |
How to configure it
Nothing beyond the text.
Scenarios
- The no-objection letter needs fixed legal wording. Write it in the template's header and footer.
What it is connected to
- Document Type groups it.
If something looks wrong
- Save refuses and marks the code. The code is empty, or another record of this screen already uses it. Codes must be unique; type a new one.
