Season
A season, such as Summer 2026, with a default date range.
What it is for
A season is picked on the item in each company, on a pricing line as its Season Code and on sales quotations and orders. When the sales setting asks for a season code and the item asks for one, a pricing line without a Season Code is refused.
Date From must not be later than Date To.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Season | The short code of the season. | Cannot be changed once saved |
| Name | The name shown in lookups and on documents. | A clear name |
| Notes | Free notes on the record. | Any text |
| Date From | When the season starts. | A date |
| Date To | When it ends. | A date on or after Date From |
How to configure it
There is nothing to configure beyond the fields above. Which fields are shown, required or hidden can be changed per company by the consultant in the screen configuration.
Scenarios
- A fashion retailer prices the same item differently each season. Make the seasons here, then put a Season Code on each pricing line.
What it is connected to
- Pricing Profile - Season Code on a price line
- Release Item In Legal Entity - Season on the item
- Sales - season code on orders
If something looks wrong
- "Date From cannot be greater than Date To." on Save. Swap the dates.
- "... already exists" on Save. Another season already uses this code.
