Cost Element Group
A cost element group: a code and a name under which cost elements such as freight and duty are gathered.
What it is for
The cost element group is picked on items, vendors and customers in each company, on procurement and sale categories, on purchase and sales orders, on billing proposals and on rental documents. The same screen sits on the Product Information, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable menus.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Cost Element Group | The short code. | Cannot be changed once saved. Required |
| Name | The name shown in lookups and on documents. | A clear name. Required |
How to configure it
There is nothing to configure beyond the fields above. Which fields are shown, required or hidden can be changed per company by the consultant in the screen configuration.
