Packaging
A packing unit: how many finished units it holds and which packing materials one unit uses.
What it is for
A packaging is picked in the Packaging window of a Manufacturing Order and on sales quotations and orders. On the manufacturing order, each Packaging line you add brings its Required Items onto the order's bill of material lines:
- normally the line quantity times the Packing Quantity you enter on the order;
- with Calculate By Required Qty ticked, Quantity for Unit times the order line quantity. Quantity for Unit is hidden in the standard configuration, so the consultant must show it before this tick is useful.
