Delivery Term
A delivery term with notes, such as an Incoterm.
What it is for
The delivery term is picked on customers, on purchase and sales documents, on transfer orders and on the automatic cost element setups of payables and receivables. The screen is not placed on any menu in the standard configuration.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery Term | The short code. | For example FOB. Cannot be changed once saved. Required |
| Name | The name shown in lookups and on documents. | A clear name. Required |
| Notes | Free notes on the record. | Any text |
| Block | Marks the record as blocked. | Tick to retire it |
How to configure it
There is nothing to configure beyond the fields above. Which fields are shown, required or hidden can be changed per company by the consultant in the screen configuration.
Scenarios
- An importer buys some goods FOB and some CIF. Make both terms here and pick the agreed one on each purchase order.
What it is connected to
- Purchase Order - Delivery Term on purchase orders
- Sales Order - Delivery Term on sales orders
- Auto Cost Elements - Delivery Term on the automatic cost element setup
If something looks wrong
- "... can not be empty" on Save. The code is missing. Type a code.
- "... already exists" on Save. Another delivery term already uses this code.
