What it is for

Picked on the item in each company and on inventory quality points. Restricted Processes has three ticks. Sales is enforced: an item whose status restricts sales is not offered on sales order lines. Purchase and Manufacturing are recorded; nothing enforces them today.

There is nothing to configure beyond the fields above. Which fields are shown, required or hidden can be changed per company by the consultant in the screen configuration.

Scenarios

  • A model is discontinued but stock remains to be used up internally. Make a status Phase-out with Sales ticked and put it on the item.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • An item no longer appears on sales orders. Its lifecycle status restricts Sales.
  • A restricted item can still be bought. Only the Sales restriction is enforced today.
