Model
A model: a code, a name and its manufacturer.
What it is for
A model is picked on the Item, on fixed assets, on fleet equipment, on maintenance plans and on service templates. It lets one model of machine carry the same maintenance plan wherever it is installed.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Model | The short code. | Cannot be changed once saved. Required |
| Name | The name shown in lookups and on documents. | A clear name. Required |
| Manufacture | The maker of the model. | Pick a manufacturer |
| Block | Marks the record as blocked. | Tick to retire it |
How to configure it
There is nothing to configure beyond the fields above. Which fields are shown, required or hidden can be changed per company by the consultant in the screen configuration.
Scenarios
- A generator dealer sells and services one model in many sites. Make the model once and pick it on the item, the asset and the maintenance plan.

If something looks wrong
- "... can not be empty" on Save. The code is missing. Type a code.
