A notification request is the plant's "something is wrong" form: the resource, the malfunction, the symptoms and the operations expected.

What it is for

After Create the category, site, resource, requester, request date and time and component are locked. The status starts Open. On the Basic Data tab list the operations expected; open Items on an operation for the parts.

The request posts nothing. It is printed with the Maintenance Notification Request report and listed in its analytics list.

In this release a Maintenance Order does not pick a notification request: its Notification Request field lists maintenance notifications instead.

Use Default Parameters on Plant Maintenance Setting to require fields the floor must fill.

Scenarios

• A line operator reports a vibrating pump. Request with the pump, Break Down clear, symptom "vibration", the expected operation "check alignment".
