Damage
A damage code names physical damage found on equipment: "bearing seized", "belt torn".
What it is for
A damage code names physical damage found on equipment: "bearing seized", "belt torn".
Service Management and Plant Maintenance keep these codes in one shared list; each screen saves its own codes into it. Notification Request offers only the codes saved on the Plant Maintenance screens (damages excepted). Maintenance Order, Service Request (symptoms and faults) and the operation lines of Service Order offer the codes of both. Damage areas exist only on the Service Management screen and are offered to both.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | The code or number of this record | A short unique code, or the next number when a number range is set up. Required |
| Name | The name | Free text. Required |
| Block | Stops the record from being picked on new documents | Leave clear while it is in use |
How to configure it
Add one line per value the business uses. Keep the codes short and the names in the words the staff use. The name is stored in every language the company works in; the one you type is kept for your language and copied to the others until someone translates it.
Scenarios
- A new value is needed during live work. Add it here; it is offered at once on the documents that use this list.
What it is connected to
- Maintenance Order - Technical Observation and the Damage Code tab.
- Notification Request
If something looks wrong
- The value is missing from a list on a document. It was not saved here, or Block is ticked on it where the screen has that box.
