Maintenance Plan - Measuring Based
A measuring-based plan is meant for work due on usage (running hours, cycles) rather than on dates. It has the same parameters, strategy and operations as a time-based plan, without the scheduling dates.
What it is for
A plan says which resources get which operations, on which cycles of a strategy.
- Fill the header and at least one Parameter (resource group, resource, key value, manufacturer or model): the plan covers every resource that matches all the parameters given. Create is refused otherwise ("Atleast one field select in Paramenters").
- Pick the Maintenance Strategy. On Create, its cycles become columns of the operation grid.
- On each operation line, switch on the cycles the operation belongs to. Open Items to list the parts the operation needs.
- Save. Then run Maintenance Plan - Schedule to produce the dated visits.
A schedule run copies the plan as it is at that moment; changing the plan later does not change a schedule already run.
In this release no screen compares readings with the plan to make work due: the schedule run counts periods from a start date, and this plan has no start date or period on its layout. Readings are recorded on Resource Reading.

How to configure it
Use it to record which operations belong to which usage cycle. Use the time-based plan where visits must be scheduled.
Scenarios
- A fleet of generators is serviced every 250 running hours. Record the plan here with the 250-hour cycle; schedule the visits by time until reading-driven scheduling exists.
What it is connected to
If something looks wrong
- No visit becomes due when the meter passes the cycle. Not supported in this release.
- Create is refused with "Atleast one field select in Paramenters". Give at least one parameter.
