How do I register a vehicle or machine for service?

Create it on Service Object with its group and customer. Many identical objects can be created at once, and a sales delivery can create them by itself.

Before you start​

Steps​

  1. Open Service Object and New.
  2. Type the code and name, for example CAR-0012 and "Toyota Corolla LEA-1234".
  3. Pick Object Group and Customer. Both are required and cannot be changed once saved.
  4. Fill Identification No (registration) and on Basic Data the manufacturer, serial or chassis number and the warranty dates.
  5. Save.

Check it worked​

  • The object is offered on Service Order when its customer is picked.

If something looks wrong​

  • Forty identical tanks arrive. Use Service Object Base on Parameter; the objects are created when that document is approved.
  • Sold products should become service objects by themselves. Tick Create Service Object On Sales Delivey on the object group and set the group on the item; each delivery line creates one object.
