How do I record odometer or hour-meter readings?

For a customer's object, enter the reading on the Reading tab of the Service Order. For plant equipment, use Resource Reading.

Before you start​

Steps​

  1. Service object: on the service order, Reading tab, pick the Reading ID, date, time and value. Save the order.
  2. Plant resource: open Resource Reading, one line per resource and meter. The first reading of a meter is Opening, later ones Current. Save.

Check it worked​

  • The order's reading history lists the new value.
  • The Resource Reading lists show the plant readings.

If something looks wrong​

  • "… Reading value cannot be less than last Reading value …" - the counter counts up and the value is lower than the last one.
  • "… Reading Transaction Type cannot be Opening …" - the meter already has readings.
