How do I set sales prices and discounts?

Make a pricing period, then a pricing profile with price model SPL for prices and one with SDL for discounts; sales orders pick the best matching line.

Before you start

Steps

  1. On Pricing Period, make the period with its dates and price category.
  2. On Pricing Profile, pick the period and price model SPL, then Create.
  3. Add a line per price: Partner Model (CUT for one customer, CPG for a price group), the customer or group, Item Relation ITM and the item, Site, Unit, Currency, Price, the dates, and From Quantity for a quantity break.
  4. Save.
  5. For discounts, make a second profile with price model SDL and its Discount Category, with Percentage on the lines. Item Relation ALL-ITM covers every item; IPG an item pricing group.

Check it worked

  • On a sales order for that customer, site, unit and date, the line price comes from the profile; a customer line beats a group line, and the highest From Quantity not above the ordered quantity wins.

If something looks wrong

  • The sales order price is 0. No line matched: check site, unit, currency, dates, partner and season.
  • "Pricing Profile is already exists with same Price Model, Conflicting with date range" Another profile of the model covers these dates.
