Discount Category
One list per company of discount categories, each saying whether it is per unit and whether it is taken on the amount after other discounts.
What it is for
Discount lines on a Pricing Profile name a discount category. On a sales order, a category with Discount on per unit is worked out on the unit price; otherwise on the gross amount of the line. A category with Calculate on Gross Amount Including Discount Amount is worked out on what is left of the line amount after the discounts of the other categories. Each category may appear once.

Scenarios
- A distributor gives a trade discount and then a cash discount on what remains. Two categories; tick Calculate on Gross Amount Including Discount Amount on the cash discount.

If something looks wrong
- "Line ID: ... is duplicated with Line ID: ..." A category appears twice.
