How do I give a customer contract prices?
Enter the contract on Sale Agreement with the agreed price per item and unit. A sales order that names the agreement in its Sale Agreement field takes those prices, as long as the order has no Pricing Group.
Before you start
- Sale Agreement Classification.
- Sale Agreement shown on orders: tick Required Sale Agreement on Sales Order on Sales and Distribution Setting, or mark the customer on Release Customer In Legal Entity.
Steps
- Open Sale Agreement and create it: Subject, Classification, Agreement Commitment (the item commitment), Customer, Currency, Date From and Date To.
- Add one line per item: unit, agreed quantity, price. Save.
- On the Sales Order, pick the customer, then the agreement in Sale Agreement. Leave Pricing Group empty.
- Add the item lines in the agreement's unit. Price Origin From shows Sales Agreement.
Check it worked
- The order line price is the agreement price, and stays after Save.
If something looks wrong
- The price came from the price list - the order does not name the agreement, or its currency, unit, project or date does not match.
- The agreement price changed on Save - the order has a Pricing Group; Save repriced from it.
- "Item ... is not on Sale Agreement ..." - the customer may order only agreement items.
