Manufacture Order Confirmation
The confirmation of output on a manufacturing order: what came out, what was consumed, and the hours of each resource. Save issues the components, receives the output and posts the resource cost.
What it is for
Pick the order and enter Confirmation Quantity; the output, consumption and resource lines come from the order. With yield calculation on, the quantity is split into good and rejected by the batch yield.
What Save does, in one go:
- Issues every consumption line with flushing B and an actual quantity, through Journal For Issuance (an inventory issue document the system generates).
- Posts a voucher through Journal for Resource: for each resource, its actual setup, run, wait and move cost, debit the resource's debit account, credit its credit account.
- When the order is fully confirmed, completes its reservations.
- Receives the Good and Reject output lines into their warehouses through Journal For Receive (a production receipt the system generates), with the batch data. With no receive journal, nothing is received.
- Adds the quantity to the order, which becomes Closed when fully confirmed.
Reverse on the toolbar undoes the issue, the resource voucher and the automatic receipt and takes the quantity off the order. It is refused while a receipt you made by hand against this confirmation exists.

How to configure it
On Manufacture and Controlling Setting: the three journals (or per site), the flushing override, yield calculation, and hiding the Consume part.
Scenarios
- A factory confirms output at shift end. One confirmation per shift with that shift's quantity; the order closes when the total is reached.
- A component was over-used. Enter the actual quantity and a variance reason on the Consume line.
What it is connected to
- Manufacturing Order - the order confirmed
- Manufacture Operation Confirmation - confirms operation by operation
- Production Order Periodic Settlement - settles the cost later
- Item Receipt From Manufacture and the issue in Inventory - the generated issue and receipt
- General Entry - the resource voucher; Resource - its debit and credit accounts
- Plan to produce - the whole chain
If something looks wrong
- "Production Order not found" Pick a valid order.
- "Confirmation date cannot be smaller then Production Date" Use a date on or after the order date.
- "Component Lines Data cannot be Empty" Add output lines.
- "Confirm Quantity is not matching with Confirm lines" The output and co-product lines must add up to Confirmation Quantity.
- "Production Confirmation - Line ID: ... - Unit cannot be Empty" Fill the unit of the consumption line.
- "Confirm - Line ID: ... - Confirm Quantity: ... cannot exceed Production Order Quantity: ..." More than what is left on the order.
- "Please Define Issuance Journal in Setting" Set Journal For Issuance on the manufacturing setting.
- "Please Define Resource Journal in Setting" Set Journal for Resource.
- "Resource ... Debit Account is not Configured" / "... Credit Account is not Configured" Give the resource its accounts (company setup).
- "Serial Production is not configured" A serial-tracked output cannot be confirmed.
- "Batch Number is Mandatory" / "Batch Date is Mandatory" / "Batch Expiry Date is Mandatory" / "Batch Before Date is Mandatory" Fill what the item's tracking structure asks for.
- "Production Item ... Default Warehouse is not defined" Give the item a default warehouse.
- "Item: ... Manufacturing Type is not defined in Item in Legal Entity" Set Type on the item.
- The finished good did not come into stock. Journal For Receive is empty on the setting; nothing is received automatically. Receive it on the production receipt screen in inventory.
- "There are some Receipt created against this confirmation (...)" on Reverse. Reverse those receipts first.
- "Reverse Date: ... cannot be less than Posting Date: ..." Use a later reverse date.
