Item Receipt From Manufacture
The finished goods receipt. Once production has confirmed what it made, the store receives it here: pick the production confirmation, the made items come in, and Save puts them into stock at the cost of what went into them.
What it is for
It closes the loop from production into stock. The cost of the made items is worked out on Save:
- For an item valued at moving average, the cost is the value of everything consumed and posted for the manufacturing order (material issues and production vouchers), shared over the lines by quantity.
- For a standard-cost item, the standard cost.
- On a disassembly order, each part comes in at its current average cost, and no quality inspection is raised.
The one rule people get wrong: you cannot receive more than the confirmation says was made, less what was already received from it.
