Item Receipt for Purchase Order Without Vendor

The same goods received note as Item Receipt for Purchase Order, for stores that know the order number but not the vendor. The storeman picks the purchase order straight away; the vendor comes from it.

What it is for

Everything the receipt checks and does on Save is the same: the open quantity, over-delivery and partial delivery of the order, batches and serials, quality, the posting, and the vendor invoice raised afterwards. The receipt is numbered and posted as an Item Receipt for Purchase Order, and appears in that screen's lists.

The difference is the header: there is no Vendor field to fill first. Pick the Purchase Order directly.

Every field in plain words

The header has Posting Date, Receipt Date, Receipt Number, Transaction Journal, Site, Warehouse, Purchase Order, Inbound Shipment (for a foreign vendor) and Notes. The lines have the same columns as on Item Receipt for Purchase Order, without Part Number, Catalog Number, Manufacturer and the retest dates.

On a line, Split and define serial checks first that the item is tracked: otherwise "Item (...) is not Serial Or Batch".

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • "There is no Receiving available on site ..." - nothing is open on that order for that site and warehouse.
  • "No Batch Attribute Found" - Item Batch Attribute was pressed for an item that has none.
  • All other messages: see Item Receipt for Purchase Order.
