Roles

A role is a named bundle of rights: which screens, lists and reports may be opened, and whether the holder may create, edit, view, delete, reverse and export on each. Users get roles per company on User.

What it is for

Standard roles (Predefine ticked) ship with the product and are kept up to date by it: Edit and Delete are greyed and Save refuses them. To change one, Clone it into a company role.

On save each line is trimmed to what the screen itself allows: a right the screen does not have (Reverse on a master, say) is cleared. A screen that does not exist is refused.

Sees All Employees gives holders of the role sight of every employee in the HR product.
