System Administration Setting
System Administration Setting holds, per company, the password rule every login must meet, and the Default Parameters of this module’s screens.
What it is for
The Security tab is the one password rule of the product. It is checked wherever a password is set (User, User Right, the user’s own profile, password reset). A login is not tied to one company, so where companies differ the strictest applies: the longest minimum, the shortest life, the longest memory, the fewest wrong tries. A company that enters no minimum length has the default rule: 8 characters with an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter and a number.
Expiry is checked at sign-in: an older password makes the owner choose a new one. Wrong passwords count per login; at the limit the login is blocked and must be unblocked on User. 0 means not asked.

If something looks wrong
- A user is suddenly blocked. They reached Block After Wrong Passwords. Clear Block on User.
- “Password must have …” The password breaks the rule here.
