Sales Team
A sales team is a team that sales documents and customers can be assigned to.
What it is for
Sales teams are picked on customers, customer invoices and several other screens. On sales quotations, orders, order journals and rental and project quotations the list is narrower: it shows only the teams placed on a Sales Structure line for the document’s sales organization and company.
The screen is not on any menu.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Team | The code that identifies the sales team. You type it on New, before Create. | Required. A short code; it cannot be changed once the record exists. |
| Name | The name of the sales team, shown next to the code wherever it is picked. | Required. |
| Block | Stops the sales team from being used. | Tick to block. A blocked record drops out of the pick lists other screens use. |
How to configure it
The screen allows import, so a long list can be loaded from a file instead of typed. Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.

If something looks wrong
- A team is missing from a sales order’s list. No Sales Structure line places that team under the order’s sales organization in this company. Add the line.
