Sales Taker
A sales taker is a person who takes orders from customers: an order booker or salesman.
What it is for
Sales takers are picked on sales orders and invoices. Picking an Employee copies the employee code into the Sales Taker code, so the two records share one code.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Taker | The code of the sales taker. | Typed on New, or filled from Employee. |
| Name | The name of the sales taker, shown next to the code wherever it is picked. | Required. |
| Employee | The employee who is this sales taker, when the HR product is used. | Pick an employee; the code is copied into Sales Taker. |
| Block | Stops the sales taker from being used. | Tick to block. A blocked record drops out of the pick lists other screens use. |
How to configure it
Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.
