What it is for

Sales areas are picked on addresses and on many documents across the application. Nothing ties an area to a region or territory.

General

Field	What it means	What to put
Sales Area	The code that identifies the sales area. You type it on New, before Create.	Required. A short code; it cannot be changed once the record exists.
Name	The name of the sales area, shown next to the code wherever it is picked.	Required.
Responsible	The person responsible for the area.	Optional. Pick from the Responsible list.
Latitude	Map position.	Optional.
Longitude	Map position.	Optional.

How to configure it

The screen allows import, so a long list can be loaded from a file instead of typed. Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.

If something looks wrong

• Save refuses because the code already exists. Codes are unique. Open the existing record from the list instead, or pick another code.
