Steps

  1. Open Billing Proposal, New. Billing Proposal Date, Posting Date, Customer, Project Contract, and the Project to narrow it. Create.
  2. Check the lines. Each comes in with the quantity still open and its amounts in proportion.
  3. Lower a quantity to bill part of a line; delete lines not billed now.
  4. Save.
  5. Raise the customer invoice on Customer Invoice in receivables, for the proposal's amounts. See Receivables how-to.

Check it worked

  • Contract Billing Status shows the billed quantity and the open quantity left.
  • Project Profitability shows Billed and To Bill.

Nothing in this task posts to the accounts.

If something looks wrong

  • "Line ...: quantity ... is more than the ... still open on the contract." Lower the quantity.
  • A line does not come in. It is fully billed.
