How do I undo a fixed asset document?

Posted fixed asset documents are undone with Reverse on the toolbar, newest first: retirement, then the depreciation runs after the date you need, then adjustments, then the acquisition. A document still parked is deleted instead.

On Reverse
Needs first
Nothing posted after the document on the same asset

Steps

  1. Open the document and press Reverse. Give the Reverse Date (on or after its posting date), a reason and remarks.
  2. If it is refused, the message names the later documents. Reverse those first, newest first, and come back.
  3. A parked acquisition (not Posted) is deleted, not reversed. A depreciation run and a retirement are always posted.

Check it worked

  • The document shows Reverse Voucher No and Reverse Date; its lines leave the Asset Transactions list.
