Inventory Origin
When a stock document is filled from another document (a transfer order from a manufacturing order, an inventory movement from a request), the inventory origin says which list of source documents opens, and whether several can be picked at once.
What it is for
Inventory Movement and Transfer Order ask this record, by the origin screen chosen, which header list and which line list to open. Without a record for that origin the screen answers "You don't have rights".
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Process Code | The screen the stock document copies from | Picked from the list of screens |
| Help Object | The list of source documents | Delivered value |
| Helpobject Lines | The list of their lines | Delivered value |
| Required Multiple | Several source documents can be picked at once | Tick to allow it |
| Predefine | Marks a delivered record | Recorded only |
| Block | Stops the origin being offered | Leave unticked |
User groups grid
User Group lines are recorded. Nothing reads them today: every user who can open the stock document sees the origin.
What it is connected to
- Inventory Movement and Transfer Order - read it when an origin is chosen.
If something looks wrong
- "You don't have rights" when choosing an origin - there is no inventory origin record for that screen.
