Functional Area Dimension
Functional Area Dimension is one table per client listing, for each company, which departments belong to which functional area.
What it is for
It records the intended pairing of company, functional area and department.
The rule people get wrong: nothing in the system reads this table today. It does not restrict picks and fills nothing. Treat it as a record of the design.

How to configure it
The screen allows import, so a long list can be loaded from a file instead of typed. Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.

If something looks wrong
- Save refuses because the client already has a table. Open the existing one and add lines.
