Calender Date Template
Calender Date Template lists date ranges, each with a time template, for a calendar.
What it is for
The rule people get wrong: nothing reads these templates today, and the screen is not on any menu. Use Calendar instead.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Date Template | The code that identifies the date template. You type it on New, before Create. | Required. A short code; it cannot be changed once the record exists. |
| Name | The name of the date template, shown next to the code wherever it is picked. | Required. |
| Calendar | The calendar. | Required. Pick from the list. |
Basic Data
| Column | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Date From | Start of the range. | Optional. |
| Date To | End of the range. | Optional. |
| Time Template | The time template. | Optional. Pick from the Time Template list. |
How to configure it
The screen allows import, so a long list can be loaded from a file instead of typed. Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.
What it is connected to
If something looks wrong
- “Line ID: … - Date From already exist, change date!” A line starts before the previous line ends.
- “Line ID: … - Date To will always be greater than Date From” A line ends before it starts.
