Document Configuration

Document Configuration switches digitally signed documents on for a screen: a line naming a screen and a Document Template makes the document panel appear on that screen.

What it is for

One record per client. A line is the switch: there is no other tick. One screen may have several lines (a supply agreement and a non-disclosure agreement on the vendor) but not the same template twice. Each line names the screen’s fields that hold the party’s number and name (for example customerno and customerstxt on Customer), which label the document.

The screen is not on any menu.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • “Documents - Line ID: … - Document Template "…" does not exist or is not active.”
  • “A configuration with no document rows switches nothing on. Add at least one screen.”
  • “… - Screen (Object Controller No) cannot be empty - it is what the document engine is being switched on for.”
  • “… - Document Template cannot be empty - without it, a mandatory document has no inputs to seed.”
  • “… - this screen and template pair is already configured on another line.”
  • “… - Party No Field and Party Name Field are required - e.g. customerno / customerstxt for ARCL, vendorno / vendorstxt for APVL.”
  • “OTP Max Attempts must be at least 1.” (and the same for OTP Validity, Signing Link Validity and Receipt Validity). Save checks these four values, but they are not on this screen; if one of these messages appears, ask support to set them.
