Client Customization
Client Customization holds a few switches for one company that change particular screens.
What it is for
Each switch changes one thing:
- Allow to Delete Posted Entries: lets a posted general entry be deleted (otherwise “Posted transaction cannot be deleted”), and keeps Delete available on posted goods receipts, purchase arrivals, issues to sales orders and inventory movements that are not reversed.
- Allow To Show Line Details: shows the Line Details tab on Opportunity (in Sales).
- Required SO Reference in Item Transfer Request: shows the Sales Order field on Item Transfer Request.
- Automatically Pick Line Rate Currency: nothing reads it today.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Allow to Delete Posted Entries | Allows deleting posted entries. | Leave clear unless the company accepts deleting posted documents; Reverse is the normal way to undo. |
| Allow To Show Line Details | Shows the Line Details tab on Opportunity. | Tick or leave clear. |
| Required SO Reference in Item Transfer Request | Shows Sales Order on Item Transfer Request. | Tick or leave clear. |
| Automatically Pick Line Rate Currency | A pricing switch. | Nothing reads it today. |
How to configure it
Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.
What it is connected to
If something looks wrong
- “Posted transaction cannot be deleted”. Allow to Delete Posted Entries is off. Use Reverse instead.
