Fixed asset lists and reports

The Fixed Asset module comes with three lists, one print and a board of ten tiles. Every list loads only when you press Load, with the criteria you give it. See Lists, boards and reports for how they all work.

Lists

ListMenuCriteriaWhat it shows
Asset MasterFixed Asset › ControllingAssetOne line per asset card: group, class, entry, quantity, unit, unit cost, origin receipt, functional area, location, insurance and manufacturer details, who created it
Asset TransactionsFixed Asset › ControllingAsset, Posting Date (a range), Asset Group, Asset Book, ActivityThe asset ledger: every live acquisition, adjustment, initial depreciation, depreciation and retirement line, with the asset's book value after the line in that book. A retirement counts against the asset's first book
Asset RetirementFixed Asset › RetireTransaction, Posting Date (a range), Asset, Asset GroupEvery retirement with its journal, activity, group, class, quantities, cost, accumulated depreciation, book value, retirement amount and gain or loss

The book value on Asset Transactions is worked out from the asset's whole ledger for that book, whatever the criteria keep, so a date criteria does not restart it at zero.

If something looks wrong

  • The list is empty. Nothing loads until Load is pressed, and the criteria may be too narrow.
  • A reversed acquisition or run is missing from Asset Transactions. That list shows live entries only.
