Assets Entry

Assets Entry is a short list of labels, each with a code and a name, that an asset can be tagged with in the Asset Entry field of the Asset Master.

What it is for

The Asset Master picks from this list in its Asset Entry field, and the Asset Master list shows it. Nothing else reads it: it changes no value and no posting.

How to configure it

Nothing has to be set here for the fixed asset process to work. Fill it only if the company keeps the list for its own records.

Scenarios

  • Assets must be tagged by how they were entered: purchased, transferred in, taken on at go-live. Make one entry for each and pick it on every asset.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • The save is refused on the code. The code is missing or already used. Each code can be used once.
