How do I quote a hire and turn it into a rental order?

Make a Rental Quotation, then a Rental Order for the same customer and copy the quotation's lines with the copy button on the order lines.

Before you start​

  • Items or services to hire.

Steps​

  1. Open Rental Quotation, fill Customer, Customer for Invoice, Sales Order Type, Posting Date, Currency and Site, then Create.
  2. Add the lines with quantity, price and the hire dates. Save.
  3. Open Rental Order with the same customer and Create.
  4. Use the copy button on the lines grid, pick the quotation and its lines. Save.

Check it worked​

  • The order lines show the quotation as their origin.

If something looks wrong​

  • "Customer Account cannot be empty" Fill Customer before Create.
  • The gross amount looks squared while typing. Save corrects it.
