How do I transfer a booked unit to a new owner?

Make an Ownership Transfer from the present buyer to the new one, with the new owners and any transfer fee. On save or approval the agreement changes hands.

Before you start​

  • A transfer fee payment category, if a fee is charged.

Steps​

  1. Open Ownership Transfer, give Process Date, the From and To customers, the Property, Unit No and Sales Agreement.
  2. Tick the documents checked and fill the references.
  3. Add the fee on Transfer Fee.
  4. List the new owners on Ownership; the To customer must be one of them and the total 100 percent.
  5. Save.
  6. Collect the fee with a Billing Proposal of billing type Ownership Transfer for the new buyer.

Check it worked​

  • The Sales Agreement shows the new customer, and the old owner lines are inactive.

If something looks wrong​

  • "There is an already Transfer is in Approval of this Agreement" Finish the pending one first.
