How do I move a buyer and their payments to a different unit?

Make a Unit To Unit Transfer from the old unit to the new one, then make the new unit's Sales Agreement and pick the transfer on its Payment Adjustment tab.

Before you start

  • The new unit has no live agreement.

Steps

  1. Open Unit To Unit Transfer. Pick Transfer Type Unit To Unit (same project) or Project To Project, the From unit and agreement, and the To unit. Create: Paid Amount and Basic Data fill in.
  2. Enter any deduction in Adjustment Amount, as a negative figure.
  3. Save. The journal posts and the old agreement is cancelled.
  4. Create the new Sales Agreement for the To unit. The customer is filled in from the transfer.
  5. On Payment Adjustment, pick the transfer. The adjustment lowers the Unit Payment Amount. Build the plan for the rest and Save.

Check it worked

  • The old agreement is read only and marked Cancel.
  • The new agreement's Adjustment Amount equals what was carried over.
