Sale Order Activity
Sale Order Activity is a quick way to log the same kind of event against many sales orders: a call, a dispatch, a reminder. Each line names an order and an activity, and Save adds it to that order's header activities.
What it is for
Each sales order has an activities list of its own, opened from its toolbar. This screen fills it for many orders in one go.
The one rule people get wrong: Save edits and saves each named order. If an order cannot be saved at that moment (for example it now breaks a rule of its own), the activity cannot be added to it.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Transaction | The document number | Given by the number range |
| Notes | Free text |
| Column | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Order | The order | Pick it |
| Posting Date, Customer, Name | The order's | Fill in |
| Activity / Activity Name | What happened | Typed |
| Activity Date / Activity Time | When |
How to configure it
A number range for the screen. Without one, Transaction must be typed.
What it is connected to
- Sales Order - receives the activity lines.
If something looks wrong
- Save refuses with a Sales Order message - the order named on a line refuses its own Save; fix the order first.
