Procurement and Sourcing Setting

One record per company. Most ticks show or hide a column on the purchase screens; a few switch a check or a feature on. Some ticks are recorded but read by nothing, and are marked so below.

What it is for

It is where purchasing is tuned for one company. A purchase screen reads it when it opens, so a change shows the next time the screen is opened.

Required Current stock On Purchase Line

FieldWhat it does
Required Current StockShows Available on purchase order lines
View on Legal Entity, View on Site, View on WarehouseWhere Available counts stock. Pick one, or save is refused with "Please select Current Stock View on."

Default Parameters

One line per field of a purchasing screen that should behave differently for this company: Process Code (the screen), Object No (the field), Value, Mandatory, Disable, Hidden.

Validation

Process Code and Special Validation: extra validations recorded per screen.

How to configure it

  • Start with the ticks that show columns your buyers use, and leave the rest off: a hidden column keeps the screen short.
  • Switch Backdate Entries on with a small limit once the company is live, so orders are not back-dated by accident.
  • Required Promotion & Rewards only after the programs exist.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • "Please select Current Stock View on." With Required Current Stock ticked, tick one of the three views.
  • A tick has no visible effect. Check it is not one of those marked "does nothing today", then reopen the purchase screen.
