A category you can buy without making an item: cleaning services, stationery, repairs. A purchase line of kind procurement category picks one, takes its unit, tax group and account, and can be renamed on the line.
What it is for
Indirect spend is bought by category so it can be reported by category without filling the item list. A category line on a purchase order needs no item and no warehouse.
