Item To Item

One document that takes stock out as one item and brings it in as another: a re-labelled product, a changed item code, a repacked unit. Each line has its own movement, out or in.

What it is for

It works like Inventory Adjustment: movement and reason per line, the outgoing line leaves at average cost, the incoming line comes in at the Cost Price typed. Nothing on the screen ties the two values together: type the incoming cost so that the values match, or the difference posts as a gain or loss.

It can be edited and deleted until posted, and reversed.

Every field in plain words

The header has Posting Date, Transaction Journal, Site, Warehouse, Notes and Posting Status. The lines have Movement, Reason, Special Indicator, Item No, Item Variant, Name, Stock Category, Stock Status, Site, Warehouse, Storage Location, Movement Unit, Movement Quantity, Cost Price, Catch Weight Quantity, Batch/Serial Number with expiry, and Line Text.

If something looks wrong

The adjustment's messages: "Line ID: ... Movement cannot be emtpy", "Line ID: ... - Reason is mandatory for Movement: ...", the catch-weight messages, and "Stock not available" on the outgoing line.
