Campaign
A marketing campaign: when it runs, through which channel, who is responsible, what it may cost and what it should bring in.
What it is for
The campaign is the record a lead can point back to: on the Lead, once an Origin Document is picked, Origin Reference offers the campaigns. Budget and Revenue are recorded for the campaign; nothing is posted and nothing totals the leads' revenue against them.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign | The campaign's code | Required, unique |
| Name | What users see | Required. Set when the campaign is created |
| Date From, Date To | The period it runs | Both required. Date From cannot be after Date To |
| Business Area | The business area it is for | Required |
| Channel | How it reaches people | Required. Picked from Channel |
| Status | Where the campaign stands | Required. Picked from Status |
| Responsible | Who runs it | Required |
| Notes | A description | Optional |

A Goal field is also configured as required on this screen, but it is never shown, because the field is missing from the field dictionary.
What it is connected to
If something looks wrong
- "Date From cannot be greater than Date To." Swap the dates.
- Saving says the Campaign already exists. Codes are unique.
