Resource Sub Group
A resource sub group splits a resource group further, such as 3-axis and 5-axis machines.
What it is for
A Resource may name a sub group. The sub group names its resource group, but the resource screen does not check that the two match.
Every field in plain words
General
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Resource Sub Group | The code that identifies the resource sub group. You type it on New, before Create. | Required. A short code; it cannot be changed once the record exists. |
| Name | The name of the resource sub group, shown next to the code wherever it is picked. | Required. |
| Resource Group | The resource group it belongs to. | Optional. Pick from the Resource Group list. |
| Block | Marks the resource sub group as blocked. | Tick or leave clear. The pick lists other screens use for it do not check this tick, so a blocked record can still be picked. |
How to configure it
Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.
What it is connected to
- Picked on these company setup screens: Resource.
If something looks wrong
- Save refuses because the code already exists. Codes are unique. Open the existing record from the list instead, or pick another code.
