Resource Group
A resource group is a family of resources, such as CNC machines or welders. Its Costing tab lists the cost objects and their cost per hour; a new resource in the group starts from these costs.
What it is for
Each costing line names a cost object with a Cost Key, a Cost Category (Fixed or Variable), a Cost Basis (Setup, Operation, Queue or Move time) and a Cost Per Hour. The header adds them up as you type:
- Per Hour Cost Fixed and Per Hour Cost Variable: the lines of each cost category; Per Hour Cost is the two together.
- Setup Time, Operation Time, Quenue time, Move Time: the lines of each cost basis. They are shown for the machine and person resource types only.
When a Resource is created in the group, its costing lines and hourly cost are copied from here.

How to configure it
Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.

If something looks wrong
- The time fields are missing from the header. They are shown only for the machine and person resource types.
- Nothing on this screen refuses a save beyond the required fields.
