How do I put a bin on hold?

On the warehouse's Storage Location Structure, Location Detail tab, tick On Hold on the bin and write a Hold Reason. The Warehouse Map then shows the bin as on hold. Nothing stops a stock movement into or out of it, so tell the storemen.

Steps​

  1. Open Storage Location Structure for the warehouse and press Edit.
  2. On Location Detail, find the bin and tick On Hold. Type the Hold Reason, such as Racking damaged.
  3. Save.

Check it worked​

  • On the Warehouse Map the bin is coloured On hold, the On hold tile counts it, and picking it shows the reason.
  • The bin's capacity no longer counts in Space used.

If something looks wrong​

  • Stock was still moved into the bin. On Hold is not checked by any stock screen. It is a sign on the map, not a lock.
