Item Attributes Group
A set of item attributes, each marked required or not, that an item group asks for on its items.
What it is for
Each line names an Item Attribute. The group is placed on an Item Group, on its Item Attribute part, and the Item screen then shows the attributes of every group on the item's item group.
When Required Mandatory is ticked on a line, the item cannot be saved without a value for it: Save stops with "Attribute - name connot be empty". Required To Print is recorded; nothing reads it today.
Every field in plain words
Header
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Item Attribute Group | The short code of the group. | Cannot be changed once saved. Required |
| Name | Its name, shown as a heading on the item. | Any text. Required |
Attributes
One line per attribute.
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Item Attribute | The attribute. | Pick an attribute |
| Required Mandatory | The item must have a value for this attribute. | Tick to make it required |
| Required To Print | Recorded only; nothing reads it today. | Leave as is |
| Default Value | Handed to the item screen together with the attribute. | Any value |
How to configure it
Nothing to configure. Note that the Item Attribute part of the Item Group screen is hidden in the standard configuration: the consultant must make it visible before groups can be linked.
Scenarios
- Every textile item must say its fabric and GSM. Put both attributes here with Required Mandatory ticked and link the group to the textile item group.
What it is connected to
- Item Attribute - the attributes on the lines
- Item Group - links the group
- Item - where values are entered
If something looks wrong
- "Attribute - ... connot be empty" when saving an item. A required attribute has no value on the item. Fill it in on the Attributes part.
