Gate Pass
A pass for the gate. It lists what may leave the premises (items, or other kinds of line the gate pass category allows), from which site and warehouse, for which project or responsible person. It does not move stock.
What it is for
Security needs a paper for everything that leaves. Deliveries to customers carry their own gate pass print; this screen covers the rest.
The one rule people get wrong: a gate pass is not an issue. If the goods leave stock for good, issue them as well.
How the document is built
New, fill Posting Date, Gate Pass Category, Site and Warehouse, then Create (these four are locked afterwards). Add the lines and Save. A gate pass can be edited, deleted and cloned; it has nothing to reverse.

If something looks wrong
- "'Gatepass' lines cannot be empty" - add at least one line.
- "Selected Warehouse '...' belongs to Site '...'. Please select the correct Site." - on the header or on a line.
- "Selected Warehouse '...' does not exist in Warehouse Master. Please select a valid warehouse."
