Delivery Order

A plain issue document: the user types the origin number and the lines, and Save takes the goods out of stock. It is not on the delivered Inventory menu; sales deliveries are made on Item Issue To Sales Order.

Where
Delivery Order. It is not on the delivered Inventory menu
Who uses it
The storeman, where a client still uses it
When
When goods leave against a reference that is not a sales order
Needs first
Stock on hand

Every field in plain words

The header has Transaction Date, Posting Date, Transaction Journal, Movement, Site, Warehouse, Origin Number (required, typed), Posting Status and Notes. The lines have Item No (offered from manufacturing order lines), Name, Item Variant, Special Indicator, Stock Category, Stock Status, Site, Warehouse, Storage Location, Movement Unit, Movement Quantity, Batch/Serial Number with its dates, and Line Text.

Nothing on this screen checks the quantity against the origin: only the stock on hand is checked.

What happens on Save

Stock goes down at its average cost and the voucher posts. A posted delivery order can only be reversed. See How stock documents work.
