Registration

Registration holds the registration numbers of one party: a customer, a vendor or the company itself. Each line is one number, with its authority, group, status and dates.

What it is for

Registration For says whose number it is: a customer, a vendor or the company itself. Pick it first; Registration For Number then offers that kind of party. Both are locked once the record is created.

Each line is checked against its group’s rules (see Registration Group). Only one line per group may be ticked Primary.

How to configure it

The screen allows import, so a long list can be loaded from a file instead of typed. Which fields are required, greyed, hidden or pre-filled for a company is set on Organizational Structure Setting, in its Default Parameters grid, and one user can differ through User Parameter Value.

If something looks wrong

• “Basic Data - Line ID: … - Registration Number cannot be empty”
• “Basic Data - Line ID: … - Registration Group cannot be empty”
• “Registration Authority - … of Registration Group - … of Registration Number must be unique” The group is Unique and another party of the same kind already has this number.
• “Basic Data - Line ID: … - Registration Date cannot be empty” / “Basic Data - Line ID: … - Expiry Data cannot be empty” The group requires the date.
• “NIC is not in correct format #####-#######-#” The group is the national identity kind; type the number with its dashes.
• “Basic Data - only one Registration Group can be marked as primary”
• “Line ID: … is duplicated with Line ID: …” The same authority, group and number are on two lines.
